You do not want to remain homeless so you should make some arrangements to try to find temporary housing options.
The first and most prevalent temporary housing options is corporate housing.
Serviced Apartments or Corporate Housing is an exclusive, fully furnished apartment or executive home. It is an excellent alternative to hotel accommodation especially when you are being relocated, between homes, or are working away from home for a period of time.
You can rent corporate housing (usually an apartment) from six weeks to a year.
Corporate housing is usually a completely furnished apartment that includes all of your expenses (utilities, cable, phone) except long distance phone calls.
These apartments are in convenient areas and have all furniture, accessories, linens and kitchen equipment that you need.
These corporate apartments begin at $1,600.00 per month for a one bedroom.
The second type of short-term housing available is an efficiency hotel that will lease week to week.
These are equipped with a sink, refrigerator, microwave and a few have ranges.
These efficiencies begin at $240.00 per week, some requiring a minimum stay.
The final type of short term housing available in our area is an unfurnished apartment.
These are in residential neighborhoods, but usually require a minimum stay of four to six months and that you either bring your own furnishings or rent them.
These apartments start at approximately $700.00 per month.
Rarely will you find a house with a short term lease in our market.
